Radio Aire & Magic 828’s Cash for Kids Charity

• Wk/C 14^th March – Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids ’30 Brides One Royal Wedding’ competition will go live on air on Monday 14^th March. During this week listeners will be encouraged to register online to compete to win the chance of our £30,000 wedding prize. At the end of this week a panel of judges will begin to work through the application forms and shortlist the first 15 finalists.

• Wk/C 21^st March – Listeners will still be encouraged to visit our website – www.radioaire.co.uk to register to take part. On Thursday 24^th March the final 30 potential brides will be finalised.

• Friday 25^th March – All 30 finalists will be announced live on air throughout the day.

• Sunday 27^th March – The 30 finalists will be invited to attend a ‘Bridal Boot camp’ day at The Mansion, Roundhay. The first part of the day will act as a ‘Mini Wedding Fare’, suppliers will be invited to attend from 11am – 12pm to meet all 30 potential brides.

• Wk/C Monday 28^th March – ‘Fundraising Week’. The finalists will have until 2pm on Sunday 3^rd April to raise as much money as possible for Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids.

• Monday 4^th April – The winning couple will be announced live on air on the JK and Joel Breakfast show.

• Friday 29^th April – The winning couple will marry at The Mansion in Roundhay.

We are so happy and excited to be working closely with Aston Hall.  Over the past 5 years, we have designed and created many glorious weddings and met some fantastic couples along the way. (Please see our gallery page for inspiration)

Aston Hall is my absolute favourite wedding venue in Sheffield and all the staff there are truly amazing! To name a few….. The wedding co-ordinators, Tara Walker Smith and Zoe Guest. Food and beverage manager, Shaun Lowe. The restarurant manager, Matt Hydes (who I must say are professional, confident and simply lovely) They will ensure that your wedding day will run smoothly and perfectly. When Tara contacted us to be part of a wedding showcase, we were delighted.

Aston Hall from a wedding venue stylist point of view is perfect. The Lagonda, Marquee, Vantage and Vanquish rooms all have subtle base colours that will work well with any themes or colours you choose. (I will be updating my blog with various themes very soon, keep an eye out for that one) An important factor with the rooms at Aston… no unsightly carpets or curtains, which is venue styling heaven!

We arranged a meeting. Tara required “showcase weddings” to be set-up in all the rooms and she was more than happy for me to design and create the weddings of my choice. I was over the moon. That’s when it all began…….
The Lagonda – Already a stunning room, I wanted to show the Lagonda to its full potential. Lots of brides take a look at the room as a blank canvas and cannot visualise how the room can be transformed.  I wanted to create an elegant, warm feel with a glamorous touch. We achieved this by

- Keeping the colour palettes soft using ivory and bridal white linens and overlays.
- Using our glass and crystal candelabras, which provided stunning focal points.
- Situating our unique twinkle backdrop to frame the top table.
- Filling the tables with delicate crystal tealights, which created a warm, romantic touch.
- Keeping finishing touches simple and unique.

The room certainly had the wow factor! This was confirmed when the guests arrived. I lost count of how many times wow was mentioned, which was fantastic for me having worked so hard to achieve the desired look. I was a very happy lady.
